IRP includes....
Access Channels
-
Local/remote computers, mobile devices, support centre
Mobile Apps on smartphones such as iPhone, Blackberry, and Android
A mobile application download and install from the website portal can make all the required information available on a mobile device. It harnesses elements of the most popular/useful online resources and can be updated via an RSS feed. Also, any internet friendly mobile device can be used to access the web portal directly. Any issues and support related queries can be reported to the highly trained and friendly Support Centre staff via email or telephone.
Digital Library
-
e-learning and video tutorials
Digital resource – wealth of information (educational materials (e-learning and video tutorials), latest research information, practice guidance tools, commissioning information, relevant employment opportunities, latest healthcare news etc.)
The information could take the form of power point presentations, word documents, excel data, films, animations, pdf’s or mobile phone apps. The popularity of different elements viewed and downloaded in the library can be measured and popular files highlighted and unpopular files replaced or updated.

Interactive environment & Social Media (see adjoining figure)
In addition to the comprehensive web resource, an interactive environment enables HCP's to share ideas and information securely with other registered users. This includes features such as discussion groups, blogging, live chat, secure file sharing, and links to social media.
Reporting
- reports generated in a timely manner in various formats based on the requirement
- user activities within the system and feedback can be collected and reported on a regular basis
Information exchange (see adjoining figure)
The data for information exchange is maintained and collected in the information hub (main database) which acts as a source to the healthcare professional through website, mobile web and the support centre. Information can be fed on need basis or can be scheduled to be updated as per requirement. A data backup mechanism can be scheduled to ensure timely information storage. The data is encrypted within the channel to ensure secure exchange of information.
Thus each of these solutions is merged on a single platform to provide an end-to-end resource for HCP’s. However, the entire system can be customized based on the desired requirement
We have recently been involved in facilitating a comprehensive one-stop resource for UK HCP’s in the form of a web-based platform with a wide range of tools to help them expand their knowledge base for professional development.
The concept involves consolidation of all the relevant information available on the web and makes it accessible to HCP’s through educational materials, practice guidance tools, relevant employment opportunities and the latest healthcare news and all supported by our highly trained call centre staff. Some of the major highlights of this service are…
- E-learning packages
- Video tutorials
- Mobile app downloads
- Resource Library
